Three Peas In A Pod

The wild and crazy ride of raising our triplets: Rowan, Eli, and Finn!

6/18/08 Update June 18, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — patricktatertots @ 8:36 am

All of the boys are doing super good; Elliott is now off the CPAP and all 3 boys are now breathing completely on their own with no support or oxygen.  Their feedings just contine to be increased and Eli is now at 12 ccs every 3 hours and Rowan and Finn are at 10 ccs every 3 hours. Their IV fluids and nutrition has been stepped down quite a bit and will be stopped completely once they reach full feeds over the next week.

Both Ross and I finally got to hold Eli and as expected, it was incredible.  I’m telling you these 3 boys already know how to manipulate mommy’s feelings so that she just can’t leave their beds.  Ross also got to help out with giving Eli a bath and getting ready for bedtime.  We couldn’t feel more blessed with how well things have been going.

The only bump in the road so far has been in my recovery; I have developed quite an infection in and around my incision site.  We got it checked out the other night and they are trying to give me a chance on some high dose antibiotics; if it doesn’t turn around quickly they plan to re-open the incision and try to clean out the infection 😦 Obviously this is something I would really like to avoid because my recovery has been slow enough as it is.  I would truly appreciate some prayers for this issue to resolve.
